SUPER CHEESEDAY[S]
Your votes have been counted and the top four sandwich nominees from four weeks of Grilled Cheese Primaries are on the ballot and the menu for these last three days in April - or as we like to call them - Super Cheesedays. It's now time for our general election, to choose our Commander in Cheese. Isn’t it nice to have so many good candidates to choose from?
STAND AND LET YOUR VOTE BE MELTED!
42 - WHITE CHEDDAR with roasted turkey, bacon and chutney on whole-grain bread [gobble gobble party]
47 - GRILLED TORTA with cooked ham, cheese, roasted tomato mayo, grilled jalapenos, avocado and lettuce on pan especial [Partido de la Revolución Queseosa]
51 - PHILLY CHEESE STEAK ribeye steak grilled with onions, peppers and jalapenos topped with American and Provolone cheeses on a Freedom roll [guilty party]
59 - QUESADILLA WITH BRIE roasted poblanos and ripe mango, served with smoky salsa [independent party]
61 - SPANISH GRILLED CHEESE with queso Mahón, roasted sweet peppers and pimenton [nominated by superdelegates]
The 2008 National Grilled Cheese Month Campaign has concluded at Clementine, and the incumbent, Philly Cheese Steak, has won the general election to become the next Commander in Cheese. Garnering 36% of the vote in a field of five candidates, Philly Cheese Steak scored a convincing victory. Some would say a it's a mandate to put Philly Cheese Steak on the regular menu. Therefore Philly Cheese Steak has been officially inaugurated to the Clementine menu, and will begin building it's cabinet of other sandwiches in the coming days. In its address to the grilled-cheese-eating nation, Philly Cheese Steak paid tribute to it's roots in the birthplace of American democracy and vowed to devote it's first 100 days to passing lecheeselation to provide permanent protections for the melting class.
HAIL TO THE CHEESE!
